Who We Are

SquishyBean is a children's video streaming service operated by Samrath.ai, based in Canada. You can reach us at hello@samrath.ai.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Who Uses SquishyBean

SquishyBean accounts are created and managed by parents or legal guardians aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Children watch content through a parent's account — they do not create accounts or submit any data themselves.

If we discover we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at hello@samrath.ai if you believe this has occurred.

What We Collect

From parents (account holders):

Email address — to create and manage your account and send you service updates
First and last name — to personalise your account experience
Billing address — required for payment processing
Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider; we never store your full card number

From child profiles (entered by parents):

Child's first name — to personalise the viewing experience
Child's date of birth — used solely to auto-assign the appropriate age group (Baby, Toddler, Little Kids, Big Kids) and serve age-appropriate content

Automatically collected:

Basic usage data (videos watched, session duration) — to improve content and fix issues
Device type and browser — for technical compatibility

We do not collect location data, run behavioural advertising, or build profiles for third-party marketing.

How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your SquishyBean account
To process your subscription payment securely
To auto-assign age-appropriate content based on your child's date of birth
To send you service emails (receipts, account updates, launch announcements)
To improve SquishyBean's content and platform based on aggregate usage patterns

We will never sell your personal information. We will never use it for advertising. We will never share it with third parties except as described in this policy.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate SquishyBean:

Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles all card data under PCI-DSS standards. We never see or store your full card number. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and DDoS protection. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

That's it. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising or tracking tools.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you cancel your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes (typically 7 years for billing records under Canadian tax law).

To request deletion of your data at any time, email hello@samrath.ai and we will respond within 10 business days.

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Withdraw consent for non-essential uses of your data
Request deletion of your account and associated data

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers. We use Cloudflare for DDoS protection and infrastructure security.

We are a small team and take security seriously. If you discover a security issue, please contact us immediately at hello@samrath.ai.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.

Continued use of SquishyBean after changes are notified constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
